Mix an envelope of onion soup mix, 1- 15 oz bottle of Russian dressing, and 1/2 cup of apricot preserves in a slow cooker.
Add in boneless, skinless chicken (you might brown 1st to lock in moisture). Cook 4 hrs on high or 8 hrs on low.
When ready to serve boil noodles, remove chicken and add noodles to sauce, mix, serve.
I took 1/2 a turnip, peeled and washed it. Peeled 2 carrots. Shred the veggies, put in a pot of chicken broth, boil until soft. Strain them, add them back into hot pan with a pat of butter. salt, pepper, mash, serve.
I might add that you can boil and blanch turnip, dry it, put it in the freezer to use later.
We like turnips but don't always use them in subsequent days. This way it stays fresh and softens faster for mashing.
Enjoy and God bless!
