Eye of The Beholder

True statement.  The hurtful or bothersome behavior of others teaches us what not to do. Or at least it should.
We're all human though, we have problems and we pass those problems on in the form of bad actions, hurtful words,  rotten attitudes.
It really is ripples in a pond.
If you give an attitude to someone,  they're likely to take it personally,  which causes them to give attitude to someone else....and the ripple of ick spreads.

If we could learn to spread smiles instead, how much better would the world be?

I saw an old lady at the pharmacy,  she was quite out of her mind. Talking loud, exclaiming over every little thing like she'd never heard of a store before. It was endearing though, she was just so happy.  She waved, she smiled, she radiated joy. She was like a kid, everything was new and fascinating to her and that happiness just oozed out. It was infectious.

And how sad is it that I said she was quite out of her mind because only someone not all there would be that happy.
If we could all find that kind of joy in everything.
Life would be something.
We're too afraid of looking silly, of what people might think.

They'd think they wished they could be that happy.

We're hung up on appearances though. We can't help it. Our eyes search for beauty, society tells us what beauty is.

If your taught something is a weed you're always going to look at it with disdain where someone who wasn't told it's a weed might see a beautiful flower.

Women with makeup.  As if who you are underneath the paint isn't okay.
Everyone needs to be buff, or skinny, but not too skinny if you're a guy, and not too chubby if you're a girl,  and not too tall or too short.....there is no pleasing everyone.
You're never going to be perfect.
You're never going to please everyone.
That's a fact.
People are impossible to please.
At some point you have to work to please yourself.

Whether it's your appearance or your attitude,  you have to figure out how to like yourself and how to forget the expectations of others.

Be the person you want to be.
Exude the qualities you admire most in others.
Don't hold back your happiness because of what someone might think.
Be silly, be sweet, give compliments,  say hello, hold the door, smile.

Be your best you.
