He's the only pet we ever got from a pet shop. Our daughter's kitten died in her arms and we wanted to get her another one, but not a stray that might be sick.
So we bought one, from a reputable place, complete with a vet's okay.
Yep, he was sweet and innocent once upon a time......
Okay, I'm kidding, he's never been sweet and innocent. In fact Bill Dear swears he was trying to slice my throat through the bars when we picked him out.
I still say he was just begging to be adopted.
Ironically he picked his owner and it wasn't our daughter, it was Bill Dear.
Since then he's been king of the roost, and a royal butthead. He expects to be brought in the house, he falls off everything because he's losing balance with age, and if his arthritis is acting up...watch out, lol.
Although he does have his moments.
Like when mom puts out catnip.....
Or he's sleeping, lol....
And when I put "cat tv" on YouTube...
And he's not mean to his brothers all the time....
Heck, he's even nice to the dog...
Which is saying a lot because they give him grief, his grumpy demeanor makes him a prime target.
"We're not poking him, swear! We're just....um....making sure he's alive, yeah..."
When our dog, Spot (2nd picture) , passed away, Spaz knew. He searched the house for his dog. After that day he comes when Bill whistles, he patrols the yard, and he's taken over as dog of the house.
