This peace lily has been over a year in the making. We picked her up on the death rack at Walmart, she hadn't been watered in forever, dry and brown.
Over a year.
Watering, transplanting, fertilizing, pruning, moving her until I found the light she liked best.
Now she's got her 1st flower. Letting us know she's happy.
Time.
We waste a ton of it don't we?
We're in a hurry, want everything now, so we don't wait for the good stuff. But boy, we'll spend hours out of a day on our phones, watching shows, stalling something we don't want to do. Before we know it years have passed us by. We look around, wondering where the time went, what did we accomplish, how did we not notice?
If you want something out of life; career, hobby, places to see, people to meet, etc......do it!
You tell yourself you'll learn to dance later, you'll see the pyramids when you retire, you'll find your extended family next year.
Then later comes and you've got an injury that keeps you from dancing.
You retire and you can't afford to go see your grandkids, let alone Egypt.
That extended family waited another year, and another year, and now they've all passed away.
We are not promised time.
We aren't promised anything.
In our youth our perception of time is different. We assume we have forever, we'll never be 40, never get old.
We rush through all that valuable time not realizing once it's gone....it's really gone for good.
🕰 ⏰ ⏳ ⌚ ⏲ ⏱
Your time is precious.
Your loved ones time is precious.
So don't take it for granted and don't waste it.
God bless
