Nobody's Perfect

We try.
We're not perfect.
We make mistakes.
We get busy, preoccupied,  worried,  scared.
We let those emotions and situations affect the things we say or do.

Everyone does.

The question is....what can you forgive?
What can you get past, where is the line?

It's different for everyone,  it depends on a myriad of things.

We can be sorry.
We can work on changing.
We can do better.

We can't unoffend anyone.

I've had to learn to forgive without an apology,  without an explanation.
I've had to learn how to find the truth with God's help.

People can love you and treat you badly.
People can love you and not like you.

Our pastor said unconditional love does not mean unconditional relationships.
He's absolutely right.
Relationships are complicated; they carry different levels, they change,  grow, separate.
It's a give and take, a matter of chemistry and how well you relate.

It's effort.
It's respect.
It's drawing clear lines.
It's giving.
It's taking graciously.

When a person wasn't loved perfectly growing up they will not love perfectly as an adult.
Since we're all sinners, all flawed,  there is no perfect love.
There's the best we can do at the time.

And that fact alone is why we should forgive.
We're all the villain in someone else's story.

God bless ya'll.
