I love this quote because it hits a subject I'm praying on right now.
Taming the flesh.
I don't drink, don't do drugs.
I don't do illegal stuff.
But there's more to the fleshy longing than the obvious.
What am I putting before God?
What is important enough that I might sin for it?
What are my temptations, my weaknesses?
It's not about perfection, that's unattainable.
It's about awareness and honesty.
If I don't know what my weaknesses are, if I'm not aware of my vulnerabilities then I'm open to be tempted or attacked in those areas.
Ignorance is our worst enemy.
